Well done to Newark’s second team, who held Gambit 5 to a draw last week. Ben’s text-book win with two rooks versus a queen was particularly notable. Also worthy of mention was Alex, who secured a draw after playing most of the game with less than a minute on his clock.
We’re hoping the team will go one better and secure their first win of the season on Monday 18th November, when they play at home to University 2.
