Welcome to the Newark Chess Club web site. We always welcome new members of any age and have a wide variety of abilities from beginner to expert.
For those interested in competitive chess, we currently have 2 teams in the Nottinghamshire league and play matches on a home and away basis.
However if you just want to play social chess and not take the game too seriously you would also be welcome as we like to have a fairly relaxed atmosphere at the club.
We meet on Thursday evenings between 7:15pm and 10:00pm at Balderton Working Mens Club, 69 Main Street, Newark, NG24 3NN.
